Foliate-Carved Hunting Dagger

A hunter's dagger and its scabbard, every surface alive with carved foliage. The model arrives as two pieces shown apart: a shaped grip with a textured basket-weave handle and a small pommel, and a broad scabbard whose face is smothered in dense acanthus scrollwork woven around what looks like a hunting scene — leaves, tendrils and small animal forms tumbling across the panel. The scabbard tapers to a fine upturned tip, and a woven-pattern chape wraps its lower end to echo the grip. This is a decorative display piece, not a working blade — think wall trophy, den shelf ornament, LARP or costume prop, or a carved plaque set into a hunting-lodge panel. Laid flat the two halves read as a matched set; the scabbard alone also stands as a relief in its own right. Print notes: • The scroll panel is the star and it's deep — machine it with a 1–2mm tapered ball nose after roughing, or FDM at 0.08–0.12mm to hold the foliage. • Print each part flat on its back face; the grip wants light supports under the finger swells if you stand it up. • The upturned tip is fragile — orient layer lines along the scabbard's length so it doesn't snap. • A walnut or antique-bronze finish, rubbed back over the raised scrolls, makes the hunting detail read from across a room.
