Description

A lean, angular cut-out where every line earns its keep. This is a flat, single-thickness profile designed to be cut rather than sculpted. One end curls into a rounded downward hook or catch; the body opens up into a triangular fretwork window braced like a little truss; then it steps down to a long lower rail pierced by three softened oblong slots. The look is purely functional-industrial — no ornament, just the interplay of the hook, the open triangle and the slotted bar. Read practically, it works as a bottle-opener-style catch, a wall hook or bracket, a key or tool rail, or a bold graphic silhouette for a workshop sign. It's the kind of shape that suits raw material honesty — leave the tool marks and it looks the part. CNC / cut notes: • Profile and pocket job from flat stock: the hook and the three slots are full through-cuts, so tab them or use a spoilboard. • Radius the internal corners of the triangle and slots to match your bit; sharp inside corners aren't cuttable and would only concentrate stress anyway. • Cuts cleanly in aluminium or steel for a hard-wearing opener/bracket, or in acrylic and Baltic ply for a lighter piece. • A light chamfer on all edges takes the sharpness off the hook. Printing instead? It lays flat with the face down and needs no supports — just crank the perimeters for strength. Deburr the hook thoroughly if it'll ever touch a hand.
