Riveted Boss Round Shield Roundel

A studded round shield with a domed boss and iron straps radiating like a compass rose. This circular piece is all riveted metalwork in relief: a smooth raised dome sits dead centre, ringed by a bolt-studded collar, and from it broad iron straps radiate out to the rim in a spoked, almost sunburst arrangement — each strap punctuated with rows of round rivets. The overall read is part warrior's buckler, part reinforced bunker hatch, with a satisfyingly industrial weight to it.
