Sculpted Swept-Groove Handle Pull

Part grip, part sculpture — a handle shaped to fill the palm. W 096 is a flowing single-piece handle form: a broad, gently arched body that swells toward one end and tapers to a squared, faceted butt at the other. Across the face, soft swept grooves fan out like wind lines, and a shallow stepped notch near the base — where a short second segment meets the main body — gives a natural place for the index finger to sit. There is nothing fussy about it; the whole appeal is the ergonomic roll of the surface, the way it turns from a rounded back into a flatter front and catches a long highlight down its length. Drop it onto a drawer or door as a bold pull, cap a tool or a chef's knife tang, or simply print it as a standalone carved object. Print notes • In wood, cut with the flat back as your bed surface so the sculpted face is fully exposed to the ball-nose. • A 3mm ball-nose gives clean, unbroken passes across the swept grooves; step-over 8–10% for a finish that needs almost no sanding. • If this becomes a working handle, drill and epoxy in a threaded insert or tang slot after cutting. • Round the butt facets by hand with 240 grit for a grip that feels good cold.
