Ribbed Turned Grip Handle

A ribbed, turned handle with a comfortable, hand-filling grip. This is a cylindrical handle profiled with a run of shallow ring grooves along its length, swelling gently through the middle and flaring out into rounded, trumpet-like ends. The repeating rings give it both grip and a classic turned-timber look — the sort of handle you'd expect on a quality tool, a drawer pull, a walking cane, a file, or a dagger or sword grip in a prop build. It suits woodturners and CNC hobbyists after a ready-made profile, prop-makers who need a solid grip section, and anyone replacing a worn handle on a favourite tool. Cut and print notes: • As a lathe or CNC profile, turn it from hardwood — beech, ash or oak — for durability; the ring grooves are an easy parting-tool detail. • For 3D printing, stand it vertically for the cleanest rings, or lay it horizontal with supports if you need the flat ends dead true; vertical avoids seam banding across the grooves. • Check the bore — add or drill a central hole to fit a tang, rod or threaded insert depending on your tool. • Wrap the ribs with cord or leather for extra grip, or leave them bare and oil-finished. Sand along the length to keep the ring crests even, then oil, wax or clear-coat. Scale the diameter to your hand and the length to the fitting it's replacing.
