Description

A sleek, water-ready silhouette with barely a hard edge on it. Despite the CNC label, this isn't a flat routed panel — it's a fully rounded 3D body. The form is a long, streamlined teardrop: a fine drawn-out point at the tail swelling into a smooth rounded belly, then narrowing toward the nose, where a neat circular socket is recessed into the surface with a small down-angled lip protruding just beneath it. The whole profile reads exactly like a minnow-style fishing lure — or, if you prefer, a stylised fish caught mid-glide. That socket and lip are the giveaway for tackle makers: the bore takes a through-wire, line tie or a rattle insert, and the angled bib is what would make it dive and wobble. Equally, printed solid and polished, it stands as a clean sculptural object on a desk or shelf. Print notes • Print nose-up (vertical) to keep the flowing curves smooth and avoid layer banding across the belly, or split along the centreline and glue for a seamless finish. • Resin gives the glassiest surface; if hollowing for buoyancy, keep walls even and plan a sealed cavity. • Leave the front socket clear of supports so hardware seats cleanly; wet-sand up through the grits before sealing or painting.
